Snow clearance has been a Land Rover trade almost since 1948: compact, all-wheel-drive and happy running a power take-off, Series and Defender models were regularly fitted with demountable front plough blades and rear gritting gear by councils, airfields and estates that needed to keep minor roads, yards and car parks open when full-size ploughs were reserved for the trunk network. The registry's record represents the last-generation Defender form of that tradition.

The reference vehicle, registration SW61 CCX (chassis SALLDHWP7CA414413), is a 2011 Defender 110 with the 2.2-litre Puma (Ford Duratorq) diesel engine, equipped with a front snowplough and a rear-mounted grit spreader for snow and ice control. It served a Scottish local authority on seasonal winter-maintenance duties for several years - in the collection's words, it 'more than earned its keep for a number of months each year' - before being retired and passing to the Land Rover Heritage Collection, which keeps it as an example of how readily the Defender's separate-chassis construction lends itself to meaningful commercial adaptation.

The vehicle is white - the collection's notes wryly question the wisdom of a white snowplough - and has been refinished in a hard-wearing white Raptor protective coating; Fuji White (LRC867) was the factory solid white of 2010-2016 Defenders.
