The record
Langdale and Ambleside MRT, based at Ambleside, covers the central Lake District fells from the Langdale Pikes to Fairfield. Its Defender 110 station wagon PX09 DNF, photographed by ukemergency.co.uk, is silver-grey with a fluorescent yellow front panel and windscreen frame, yellow strips lettered LANGDALE AMBLESIDE above the screen and MOUNTAIN RESCUE along its base, mirrored AMBULANCE lettering and the team roundel on the bonnet, twin spot lamps beneath the headlamps, a winch bumper, a black roof rack carrying an AMBULANCE light bar and, on the left wing ahead of the screen, a remote-controlled searchlight that the crew can train on a hillside from inside the cab during night searches; red and white chequer runs along the rear body.
The registry's model reproduces the wagon with the yellow front and screen frame, lettered strips, bonnet roundel, yellow snorkel, spot lamps, winch, rack and light bar, chequer and white steel wheels; in the game it carries the blue-light boost and winch pickups.
