Several British forces run armoured Defender 110s for public-order and firearms support, built by armouring specialists on the standard chassis with steel and composite panels, protected glass and heavy-duty running gear. Staffordshire Police's example is finished in plain black with a dimpled composite skin over the rear body, a single square protected window behind each door in place of van glazing, louvred ventilation panels on the lower lockers, a cage roof rack, the force crest on the doors and twin blue lights on the A-frame bull bar; inside it seats a team on rear benches and carries extra communications equipment. It was photographed on display for UK Emergency Vehicles' police Land Rover gallery. Its builder, date and fleet size are not stated in the source.
The registry's model is built on its Greater Manchester Police armoured 110 as the queue asked, recoloured black with the screen and door mesh removed, the observation slots replaced by one window each side, the armour texture, louvres, crest, roof cage and bull-bar lamps added; the registration is not legible in the photograph, so the plate is left blank.
