OVIK Solutions of Newport, Isle of Wight, built the PSNI's Pangolin armoured Land Rovers and offers armour conversions to other forces. To show the package it rebuilt a K-registered (1992-93) ex-MoD Defender 110, bought with low military mileage, as a demonstrator: the Pangolin-style protected body in plain black rather than police livery, expanded-mesh guards in silver frames over the headlamps and the lower front, chequer plate on the bonnet, a mesh-guarded screen, an LED lightbar on the roof and POLICE lettering on the bumper beside the K414 SHR plate. UK Emergency Vehicles photographed it on display among the police armoured Land Rovers in its gallery. It is a one-off demonstrator; its later fate is not stated in the source.
The registry's model is built on its OVIK Pangolin as the queue asks, recoloured black without the battenburg, with the silver mesh frames, chequer plate, lightbar and lettering from the photograph.
