Joint-Forces.com's Military Land Rovers series (part 38) looked at the Defender 110 station wagons of the Finnish Defence Forces, bought to civilian specification and used by the Finnish Rapid Deployment Force (FRDF), the Pori Brigade's international readiness unit, for liaison and personnel transport on exercises and deployments. The photographed vehicles, on winter tyres in the snow, are dark green with body-colour roofs, black tubular roof racks, large white FRDF lettering on the front doors, small Finnish flag decals on the rear quarters and civilian white registration plates (JCL-87 and JEC-84). The near-civilian Td5 station wagons were bought through Volvo's Finnish dealership and served from the early 2000s to about 2017, both for liaison work and, with beacons fitted, as convoy escorts for the Pasi armoured personnel carriers. Fleet size is not published.
