Everyman's Garage Goodwood Recovery Series II 88

Everyman's Garage of Chichester's sky-blue Land Rover recovery fleet, which has retrieved crashed and broken-down cars and bikes at the Goodwood Revival since the event began — modelled on the lead truck of the three paraded on the circuit in 2019, a Series II 88 truck cab, 64 FLL, with a red Harvey Frost crane.

The record

Everyman's Garage on Stane Street, Chichester, is the family garage that has done the circuit recovery at Goodwood since the Revival's first meeting in 1998, turning out at the Revival and the Members' Meeting with a fleet of Land Rovers painted in the garage's sky blue and signwritten in the style of the circuit's 1950s heyday. Their Series and Defender-based trucks, with Harvey Frost cranes and spectacle lifts, pull crashed racing cars and bikes off the circuit and the gravel traps between races. When the garage's owner died, the fleet was paraded on the Goodwood circuit in his memory at the 2019 Revival.

The Flickr photograph of that parade shows three of the Land Rovers in line on the pit straight, and the model is the lead truck: a Series II 88 truck cab in sky blue with a blue roof, cream steel wheels, a red Harvey Frost crane on the bed, EVERYMANS GARAGE across the roof front and on the doors with AUTOMOBILE ENGINEERS and the Chichester phone number beneath, an amber beacon on the roof, chrome bumper and black 64 FLL plates. The registry model reproduces that truck in the Breakdown and Motorsport groups as the representative of the fleet; the other trucks in the photograph (a Series IIA 88 with a bonnet spare among them) are not modelled separately, and the size of the fleet is not recorded in the sources.
