North Yorkshire Police's Rural Task Force was formed in 2016 to tackle rural crime — livestock and machinery theft, poaching and hare coursing — across the Dales, Moors and Vale of York. Its Defenders are lettered POLICE SUPPORT rather than as response cars and are kitted for tracks and fields. YG12 VNW, photographed by ukemergency.co.uk, is a 2012 Defender 90 hard top in silver with two rows of blue and yellow battenburg between the arches, POLICE SUPPORT and the force crest with RURAL TASKFORCE on the hard-top sides, alpine lights, Emergency 999 / Non-Emergency 101 contact stickers and silver alloy wheels; the queue lists the base as a 110 but the photographed vehicle is the short-wheelbase 90.
The registry's model is a Defender 90 hard top in silver with the battenburg, lettering, crest, stickers and alloys, and a low-profile blue bar on the roof for the blue-light boost.
